How do you install the thing in the cage ?

Biggest piece of shit I've ever tried to use! Will not prime. Don't buy

Completely useless. Comes with zero instructions as to how to setup. Nice to know it cane be use inline or as hang on even nicer still would be some instructions as to how to accomplish this. Comes with a 2 bags of attachments and no instructions. Will be returning and buying something else. USELESS!!!!

Mine appears to have the hinges welded shut. Since it is a long time since I bought it, I can't take it back to the store, and there is a long power outage scheduled two days from now, I am currently sawing the hinges off, which is taking entirely too long. Cannot recommend this item with regard to quality control - and if you buy one, check the hinges work. Having an emergency item like this that doesn't work, that people may only realize doesn't work, when there is a power outage and they're counting on this to save their fish is pretty disgusting. Emergency items need to function properly, or they're worse than useless because they give you a false sense of security.

Purchased a Penplax 1200 canister filter from Amazon. What a nightmare. Their video on "UA-cam" makes it look so simple. I did everything it said but the primer button isn't powerful enough and never once pushed the water in the correct direction. It was trying to send the water back into the aquarium. In the end I filled the canister by hand and had to suck the intake tube by mouth to get the flow going. It took me 2 hours to get it all working. It worked well for two days before stopping. I have to start from scratch to get it going again. I used the turn nozzles to prevent water seeping out and thinking there was a water supply problem I opened it up to find the canister was actually full. I eventually had to suck the water through the intake tube yet again to get it started. The filter does work well when it works but is a lot of trouble and thanks be to the Lord that I work from home and I'm able to keep on eye on things. Our carpets are ruined from the spilled water. I never want to hear the name Penplax ever again. I am an experience aquarist and have used canister filters in the past but I'm afraid this model is GARBAGE!

So far very disappointed in this filter. I followed the steps as per the book and the water lines are connected to the correct intake/out but when I try to prime the chamber it is sending the water back out of the intake nozzle and bubbles come out as if something inside is sending the water the wrong way. In other words the gravity tube is not taking the water to the chamber. I tried removing the intake tube from the nozzle and doing a manual siphon and once I get the water flowing and fill the chamber then I put the tube back on to the nozzle and then switch on.....but nothing happens. Despite the impeller running it does not pump the water. Water doesn't come in from the siphon and go out and back into the aquarium A total exercise in frustration! All the holes are lined up as they should be and marry up with the intake supply. Shoot me now!!!!

What is the actual temperature, the number that is visible or the number next to the fully red square? I have the number 86 showing, but the number next to the fully filled in red square is 82. Is it set to 86 or 82 ?

People from Microbe-Lift should give more detailed information on the Sebactisum and Parazoryne, instead send us to pet solutions? I haven't found any reviews from anyone who's used these products if their successful or not. Why? If it's all natural and it works to save our koi pleco's and other fish you'd give testimonials. Just sayin

I am darn sure this stuff killed my 12 week old kitten, she was the perfect picture of health and only had one dose. As others had said she got sick, stopped eating and started having liquid stools the first night and next morning. Around noon the 2nd day she began sneezing. The 3rd day she didn't want to move, I got a call while at work that she was throwing up and fomenting from the mouth, I told my daughter I'd take her to the vet as soon as I got home but got another call on the way home and was told she started screaming meows the gasped and then died. I'm so mad right now it's unreal, don't buy this garbage it's bad stuff and as far as I'm concerned fatal to cats!

Wish you would reopen your business again. We bought from you guys since back in the 90’s when it was through catalog order til 2014 or 2015 we placed our last order. Gave away our fish tanks to the young ones again took a break of 3 years of having fishes. We were ready in 2019 for a 90 gallons tank again and were sad to discover that you closed down. Your business was very special. It had everything for aquariums. Hope all is well you are missed.
